I saw this AWESOME quote from Christopher Reeve.  “So many of our dreams at first seem impossible, then they seem improbable, and then, when we summon the will, they soon become inevitable.”  God has a design which leads us through the progression from IMPOSSIBLE to IMPROBABLE to INEVITABLE.  I want to take a few moments to remind you of the EXTREME IMPORTANCE for you to DILIGENTLY and CONSISTENTLY be in God’s Word.

As Scripture tells us, “Without faith, it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God.”  “Faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God.”  Therefore, when you are “without” the Word, you are existing in a state of impossibilities.

The next step along this pathway is that of IMPROBABILITIES.  This is where many believers find themselves.  Due to the harriedness and hurriedness of life, many believers are, at the best, inconsistent in study of God’s Word.  Weak faith, double-mindedness, and fear frequently invade the lives of these believers.  They live in a world of IMPROBABLE answers.  Often their thoughts ask questions such as, “Why did God answer that person and not me?”

The last step along this pathway is where believers experience the INEVITABILITY of God’s Living and Active Word.

When…

• we establish a firm foundation of God’s Word in our lives
• we study to show ourselves approved
• we can rightly divide God’s Word
• we become doers of the Word and not hearers only
• we ABIDE in Christ and His Word ABIDES in us

the all-surpassing greatness of God’s Word is activated.  Doors are opened that no man can shut.  Joy is immeasurably poured into our hearts.  Peace beyond understanding encompasses our thoughts and emotions.

This brings us to a heart-searching question.  What are you waiting for?  Do not put it off until tomorrow!  Make a quality decision today to be established, rooted, and grounded in the Holy Word of God!
