Kitty Litter Candy Fun4All

Here’s a quick, fun, and VERY UNUSUAL game to add to your church’s Fun Fall Fest.

I’ve titled it ‘Kitty Litter Candy’ but you may like something like ‘Buried Treasures’ or ‘Shifting Sands.’

You’ll need:
-a large container at least 4 to 5 inches deep
-bags of wrapped candy
-kitty litter
-kitty litter scoop
-paper bags or plastic sandwich bags

It can be deeper if you like.  One of those kiddie pools works great.  If you need something smaller, a regular kitty litter tray or large roasting pan will also work.

Buy the cheapest kitty litter you can find so that you cover the bottom of your at least 3 to 4 inches deep.  Mix some “Wrapped Candy” throughout the container of litter; making sure the candy is well covered.

Give your participant a kitty litter scoop and a baggie.  Allow them three scoops through the litter.  They put their treasured findings into their baggie and thank you immensely as they go off to their next Fun Fest encounter!

(On a side note, it can be surprisingly fun to mix in a few unwrapped chocolate tootsie rolls!  Just thinking outside the box; or in this case, what could be ‘in the box.’)  (On a second side note, if you prefer not to have the ‘wrapped’ candy in the litter, simply place colored stones or trinkets in the litter.  When the digger is finished, they receive a piece of candy for each trinket and the trinkets are mixed back into the litter.)

Enjoy!
