What Should I Do? – Encouragement from Pastor Gary

How often are you frequented with situations or experiences that stir up questions such as: “What should I do?”, “How is this going to work out?”, “How long will this last?”, and “Who can help me?” Our lives and ministries are filled with questions. When you and I are presented with situations that need answers, we must call upon the Spirit of Truth within us to guide us and lead us. Yes, we have questions. Yet, Jesus said in John 16:13, “However, when He, the Spirit of Truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth.” The great news is that the Spirit of Truth has come! He lives within us! The answers are already within us; we simply need to listen. When we hear the answer, we should speak it out loud to ourselves much like David did so many times. God encouraged me to do so this morning. Let me share my experience with you.

As I lay awake in the middle of the night, I was searching my spirit for why I felt so uneasy. My thoughts were inundated with so many questions. My heart was heavy. I began asking, “Why am I so restless? Why am I experiencing such apprehension?” Then, I had to speak out loud to myself. The Spirit of Truth led me to some Scripture that I needed to hear, so I spoke it and listened to what I was saying! Those menacing emotions began fading. Peace and confidence started welling up within me. Later, I arose and was reading. I read Psalm 43:5, “Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God.” Do you see it? David did it too! David had questions and reminded himself of what he needed to hear!

What questions do you have today? What do you need to hear? Assuredly, God has the answer. His Spirit of Truth is within you. Listen and then speak to yourself what you hear. He will guide you into ALL Truth and teach you ALL things!

Though I may not be there to talk with you face to face, I am praying for you! It is my blessed hope for you to be encouraged today and equipped for every good work that is before you today.
