Solving Problems and Finding Answers

Solving Problems and Finding Answers – Encouragement from Pastor Gary

One of the greatest joys in my life is sharing with you. I thank our Lord for this marvelous opportunity He has given us to connect with each other. Throughout these past 16 years of ministering via the Internet, I have found that the problems I face and the answers I need are not uncommon. So many times, God has connected me with the right person at the right time. What a gracious, loving Father we have who so tenderly and watchfully cares for us!

His Scriptural principle of ‘iron sharpens iron’ is daily working in our lives.   Together we build each other up for the work of the ministry. Together we are more than conquerors. Together in Christ we become a three-cord strand that cannot be easily broken. Together we lift each other when one falls. But, how do we know who to connect with? Where do we begin when we need input, wisdom, answers, and solutions? The answer is so simple that many times it is overlooked.

I really could not express it better than how Oswald Chambers penned it when he wrote:

“It is never God’s will that we should be anything less than absolutely complete in Him. Anything that disturbs rest in Him must be cured at once, and it is not cured by being ignored, but by coming to Jesus Christ…The great solution is the simple one – ‘Come unto Me.’”

When problems arise, it can disturb your rest. When you need an answer, direction, or wisdom there is one great solution, “Come unto Me.” During your struggles or decision making moments, get into His presence. It is then that He will answer. It is during those moments He will lead you to the right person at the right time. A recent example of this just occurred in my life. Early on a Friday morning, I received a phone call from a pastor who used to be on staff with me over 20 years ago. Without being detailed,  he had been facing a problem and needed an answer. God put me into his thoughts. He telephoned. I was able to share with him some information I had and within that very hour his problem was solved. That is how God works!

As you look for answers remember, “The great solution is the simple one – “Come unto Me.””
