This CMT eNews contains a proclamation over YOU!

While I was recently sitting quietly with the Lord, He impressed upon my spirit that I should send this letter to you as He brought this verse to my thoughts, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He has anointed me to proclaim the good news to the poor.” I went to Isaiah 61:1 and Luke 4:18 to study the two passages. God showed me that twice Isaiah uses the Hebrew word qará and Christ uses the Greek word kerusso, both being translated “to proclaim.”

When you study qará and kerusso, you discover that they mean: to proclaim, to preach, to announce, to herald, to publish, to pronounce, to call forth. I especially like that they include the meaning “to call forth.” Indeed, the fundamental nature of Christ’s and Isaiah’s words is “to call forth;” this is the same nature of God described in Romans 4:17 when it declares, “even God,…calls those things which are not, as though they were.”

While reflecting on this, I heard the tender voice of the Spirit simply speak, “Proclaim!” Hence, here is my proclamation over you.

As a child of the Most High God, you walk in wisdom and understanding. (Ps. 49:3) The path you must follow is clear, obvious, and made straight before you. (Is. 42:16) Your heart longs for God, His Word, and His righteousness. (Is. 26:9, Ps. 119:81, Mt. 6:33) You are being built up into the Body of Christ, sharing in the promise of Christ, bearing much fruit, and living by faith a life worthy of your calling,   (Eph. 3:6, Rom. 7:4, Gal. 2:20, Eph. 4:1,12) God has given you victory, strength, protection, and joy. (Ps. 20:6, Ps. 28:7) You have confidence in approaching God, for He hears and answers you. (1 Jn. 5:14,15)

In many ways, I feel Paul’s words to the Colossians well describe my prayer today over you. “For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all poweraccording to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified youto share in the inheritance of His holy people in the kingdom of light.”

Alisa and I look forward with great anticipation to hear of how the greatness of God is manifested in and through your life and ministry!
